Executive Committee Members:
Governance
Net4 (Mary Kaliff) will govern the operations of the SDPL and its relationship between the members as they work to achieve the purpose of the League, with the assistance of an Executive Committee created from the member Clubs.
Voting By the Executive Committee
Each Executive Committee Member of this League shall be entitled to vote as follows:
- The Executive Committee Members may vote on proposed revisions, additions or amendments to the Rules and Regulations when it is deemed necessary or appropriate.
- The Executive Committee Members may vote on the creation of new membership classes.
- Each Executive Committee Member must be in good standing to vote.
- Proxy votes between Club Members shall be allowed.
The letter of Commitment, authorizing the Executive Committee Member delegate(s) by name and shall be signed by the President of that Club/Team. No person may serve as a delegate for more than one Club.
Date of Meeting and Notice
The Executive Committee meetings shall be held as the need is determined.
Order of Business
As a guideline, the meetings shall be normally conducted during each meeting shall be as follows:
- Announcement of New Members.
- Progress reports.
- New business.
- Summary of action to be taken.
Review of next meeting date and time.
Term of Office
Executive Committee Members shall be in place for a period of one (1) calendar year.
Special Meetings
Special meetings of the Executive Committee, for any purpose or purposes, may be called at any time by the League Administrator. 24 hours notice must be given via email from the League Administrator (Net4) with an Agenda for calling special meetings.
Action without meeting
Any action required or permitted to be taken by the Executive Committee may be taken without a meeting, if all members of the Board shall individually or collectively consent in writing to such action. Such action by unanimous written consent shall have the same force and effect as a unanimous vote of the Executive Committee.
Discrimination
The League shall not discriminate against any individual on the basis of race, color, religion, age, sex, or national origin.
Abuse Policies
The League shall adopt and maintain policies prohibiting sexual and physical abuse that meet certain minimum criteria established by USSF (subject to any contrary requirements of federal or state law).
Amateur Sports Act
The League shall comply with the Amateur Sports Act (36 U.S.C. Section 371 et seq.), to the extent applicable.
Interplay
The League shall abide by USSF Bylaws, policies, and requirements regarding interplay.
Conflicts of Interest
Committees hearing protest, appeals and allegations of misconduct shall be composed of persons having no conflict of interest nor direct association with the principle parties in the matter.
