Meeting Notes 9/21/04:

 

The meeting 9/21/04 went well.  It was decided at this meeting that we will be moving ahead with the formation of the new Leagues.

• We will be sanctioned by CYSA-S.
• San Diego Premier League will be providing gaming circuits for Premier teams.
• Super League will be providing gaming circuits for AAA teams.
• Some attendees raised the question of where the AA teams will play.
• We are scheduling games to start August 6, 2005. 14 play dates will be determined by November 15, 2004.
• We will not attempt to schedule games in 2004.
• The Club’s must designate a member to sit on the Interim Executive Committee at our next meeting.
• The term of the Interim Executive Committee will be September 29^th, 2004 through June 1st, 2005.   
• Team applications must be received by November 1st.
• There will be no membership requirements imposed on Clubs. Any Club team can join the League.
• Age groups for Premier will be U11 through U16 for the first year.
• Age groups for Super League will be U11 through U19.
• The season will consist of 14 playing dates.
• Current Presidio Premier League teams will automatically be accepted in to the San Diego Premier League.
• New teams wanting to play in the Premier League will enter a Challenge Competition, date to be set.
• Teams will play home and away - Home team to provide the field, field set-up, equipment. (To include toilets and dumpsters)
• AAA U-17 will play single venue if fields can be located.
• The League will endeavor to attract College Coaches to the U-17 games.
• Teams will pay the referee on the field 50/50. The assignor's fee will be included in the Entry Fee.
• Rescheduling games will be done by the League at a cost of $50 a game. The Home will submit the request and information will be verified by League and re-scheduled if everyone is in agreement. The League will re-schedule the Referee.
• The Membership Committment Letter is due by November 1st, please bring to the September 29th meeting if you are able to.

 

At the September 29th meeting the Interim Executive Committee will be expected to vote on the following issues:

 

1.      Who will sit on the Interim Executive Committee?

2.      The Interim Executive Committee will be requested to approve a meeting schedule.

3. Do we go with a combined 16, 17, 18 year Division?
4. How will teams be promoted from AAA to Premier?
5. Do we have Divisions 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 – True age?
6. Where will AA teams play?
